I have so many wonderful memories of good times spent with Chrystal. She was the kindest soul and truly lovely to be around. Love Duncan

Chrystal will be greatly missed by me and my family. We were more like sisters than cousins being so close in age. We spent our childhood playing together and spending loads of time in one another’s homes. In the summer one or other of our fathers would take us to the beaches on the Ayrshire coast and I fondly remember holidays on Arran. As we grew older we still spent many holidays together as she came on many holidays with myself, Peter and our boys. She was my go to person to dog sit enabling us to visit our grandkids in Australia and watched out for my boys when they were at university and away from home. I always looked forward to my stays with Chrystal when we would binge on TV series no one else wanted to see. Love you Chris!

I am one of the lucky ones who got to know Chrystal. She was the warmest and most loving person you could imagine. I am proud that she was at our wedding party and was able to share this wonderful moment with us. Thank you for everything, Chrystal. You live on in my heart. Every day. Love Hans

Chrystal was like an aunty for me and was always there for me throughout my life - visiting our family in Fort Augustus and Inverness regularly throughout my childhood. She loved taking me to the theatre. She came on so many holidays with us and I feel like we experienced the world together. When I was at university I would go there and spend time with her and my grandma playing cards, going out for dinners and I could have the comfort of being with family when I was away from home. When I lived in Norway she came to see me. And when I moved to Austria she came to visit. She came to my wedding party in Ibiza and was part of that special moment too. She was a very special person with not one bad bone in her body and made so much effort over the years for the people she loved. She loved very much her nephew and always spoke so fondly of him. She was truly a great aunty for me and a wonderful person and will be dearly missed. Lots of love from Gordon

On behalf of the Board, Senior Leadership and all at Versus Arthritis we express our condolences to you and your family, following the recent death of, Chrystal Carmichael. Although the Arthritis Care name is no longer used, the care services that Chrystal worked so hard to support as a Director-Trustee (2009-2012) and Scottish Chairperson of Arthritis Care still lie at the core of our work for people with arthritis, albeit under the banner of Versus Arthritis. We hope and believe that our work today is a valid testament to the efforts of all those who have supported us, and so we are especially grateful for all that Chrystal contributed in her time with Arthritis Care.
